Down a narrow street in Oslo, Norway, dotted with various restaurant choices lies the delectable New Anarkali Indian Restaurant. Can you say, “Yum!”?
New Anarkali Indian Restaurant sits in the hip area of Oslo’s Grünerløkka neighborhood, a former working class district now gentrified. This lively area is similar to Silver Lake in Los Angeles for any Angelenos reading along.
The small family-run restaurant puts out some of the best Northern Indian food we have found in our travels. In fact, it was so good that we ate here three nights on our trip! Spaceman is allergic to vinegar so Indian food is a good option for us (they don’t use vinegar in their cooking usually) which means we have done our fair share of tastings.
Not only is the food good, but it is presented beautifully. The intricate golden serving bowls add to the fun of escaping to India for the night. The service was delightful too leaving us feeling like locals and a bit sad to say goodbye as we headed back home to California.
Believe me, this place is worth a visit and no, this is not a sponsored post – only my honest opinion!
Looks amazing!
