All this rain we are having in California has left me soggy. Even though I know we need this rain with our severe drought years in the running, it has nevertheless left me dreaming of sunnier days. One such day was spent at the delicious Benchmark Eatery in Santa Barbara, California.
This delectable indoor-outdoor restaurant is situated in the heart of the city’s action without being overwhelmed by it. The food is delicious and there is a parking lot behind it (a rare treat in this parking-starved town).
Spaceman and I had spent the day at the Santa Barbara Botanic Gardens. After wandering their beautiful trails, we caved to the grumbling of our bellies. After entering and quickly exiting a highly reviewed spot that was charging about $20 for a hummus and vegetable plate, we found some locals and asked for lunch spot suggestions. They told us of Benchmark Eatery…thank goodness for locals!
Spaceman had the tacos which were tantalizing.
I had a salad that was addictive.
The food here is healthy, scrumptious, and affordable. Benchmark Eatery provides easy parking and, for us, put a spring back in our step!
Looks delicious!
A place for you to try…maybe next week! 🙂
